How to Make Sure You Don't Get Scammed by Dissertation Writing Services

Writing dissertations is a huge market: and with any huge market, you can be sure that some people will exploit it to make a quick buck. Avoid scams and get what you pay for by followed these three simples rules!

  • Don’t go for the cheapest option out there. If you find a writing service that offers you a quality, original dissertation for way, way less than the average price, there’s probably something fishy. When it comes to something as important as your dissertation, you don’t want to cut corners. If you’re looking through dissertation writing services and think the rates are outlandish, consider how much work you will save yourself: you could spend three years working 40 hours a week on your dissertation. How much is that time worth to you? Probably more than the lowest advertising price! So prepare to pay the average rate, or more than that, if you really want a quality, plagiarism-free dissertation.
  • Read independent reviews. Maybe the website you’re looking at has a whole section just for testimonials, and they’re all raving about how great the service was. Don’t stop there. Google the company name and see what else comes up; you might be surprised at what people have to say about an otherwise great-looking company. A great way to quickly find out if a certain company is a scam is to type their name and “scam” or “legit” into a search engine!
  • Never, ever, ever, pay before you receive your paper. Most paper writing services offer an escrow service, where you can put your money in a sort of “holding cell”: basically, you put as much as you agree to spend in escrow, and it takes those funds from your bank account to ensure that you can pay the writer. Once you’ve received the work, you can choose to release the funds or dispute it. If you find that the work you receive is well under your expectations and doesn’t even come close to the quality you were expecting, you can refuse to release funds until it’s been re-done, or release only as much as you’re willing to pay for what you’ve received. Of course, every company will have systems set up to protect their writers as well, because anyone can say that the work wasn’t good, take the money back, and use the work anyway. But, it’s still better than paying upfront for a paper you’re not sure you’ll even receive.
